Mike Phillips, LPC
Mike Phillips is a master's level psychotherapist/lead therapist in the Alabama Psychiatric Services office in Madison. He currently works with children, adolescents and some adults in individual, family and group settings. Mike has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama since 1993, and has been with Alabama Psychiatric Services since 2001. His areas of interest include childhood and adult ADHD/ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anger management child, adolescent and adult, OCD in children and adults, and Parenting training groups.

Kathy Tanner, LCSW
Kathy Tanner is a Licensed Certified Social Worker and/or therapist working in the Alabama Psychiatric Services Cullman office.  Kathy received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.  She completed her Master's of Social Work at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.  After obtaining her master's degree, Kathy completed the licensure requirements to practice psychotherapy in the state of Florida.  She later moved to Birmingham and received her professional license to practice clinical social work in the state of Alabama as well.

Throughout her professional experience, Kathy has provided individual, family, and group therapy services to adolescents, children, and adults.  Her specialties include treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, sexual abuse, trauma, self-esteem, and/or addictions.  She also has extensive experience in the treatment of eating disorders.  Kathy most often uses a behavioral and/or cognitive behavioral approach to therapy.  However, other approaches are also used determined by the individual need of each patient.  Kathy's desire is to use her experiences and/or knowledge in providing the best possible care to her patients.
