David Bond, LCSW
David Bond is a Licensed Certified Social Worker who has worked in the Alabama Psychiatric Services office in Montgomery since 1998.  He was certified for the Private Independent Practice of Clinical Social Work and Social Case Work in Alabama in 1986.

David has been a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy since 1984. He is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and has been designated a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work by the American Board of  Examiners in Clinical Social Work and the National Association of Social Workers. David sees children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of problems. 

Kay Cannady, LPC
Kay R. Cannady is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 24 years counseling persons of all ages with a variety of problems including: juvenile offenders at the Alabama Department of Youth Services, incarcerated males at Elmore County Correctional Center before their release back into society, mentally ill and chemically dependent patients at mental health centers, psychiatric hospital units and outpatient clinics.  She graduated with a Bachelor in Communications from the University of Alabama and a Master in Counseling from Troy University in Montgomery.

Kathryn Thomas LeGrand, LPC
Kathryn Thomas LeGrand is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in group work with patients who are experiencing various mental health issues. She completed her undergraduate work at Tulane University and her graduate work at Auburn University Montgomery. She is also a Certified Grief Counselor (C-GC) through the Academy of Bereavement and continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the organization. While completing her post graduate work, Kathryn received the Peg Carroll Scholarship from the Association for Specialists in Group Work. Her presentation and submitted work was based on a program designed for children whose parent/grandparent had died while under the care of hospice.

Kathryn has also worked with the Montgomery Cancer Center to develop and implement a psychoeducational and expressive art program to honor the different artistic works of all kinds produced by individuals who had lost their lives to cancer. For four years Kathryn taught graduate counseling courses as an Adjunct Instructor at Alabama State University; Courses includes group work, internship, and career counseling. Kathryn has made numerous presentations on both state and national level but particularly enjoys the group process and the challenges offered in group therapy.

Heather Angel Leonard, Ed.D, NCC, LPC

LaToyia M. Locke, LPC, RPT
LaToyia Locke is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents. She earned a Master of Education Degree in 2006, and an Education Specialist Degree in 2009 in Community/Agency Counseling from Auburn University Montgomery. Also, LaToyia has experience in providing individual counseling to adults as well as group and family therapy. She primarily utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach as well as a person-centered approach. LaToyia is a member of the Association for Play Therapy and the International Association for Marriage and Family Counselors.

Elizabeth Manderville, LPC
Elizabeth Manderville is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults, adoloescents, couples, and families to address a broad range of concerns. Elizabeth holds M.S. and Ed.S. degrees in Counseling and Human Systems (specializing in mental health counseling) from Florida State University. Elizabeth has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including juvenile detention and court-referred outpatient treatment. Clincial and research interests include the treatment of trauma, addictions counseling, and the use of the expressive arts in therapy.

Michael Thornton, M.S., Ed.S, LPC
Michael Thornton is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works as a therapist for children, adolescents, and adults. Michael received his M.S. and Ed.S degrees in Counseling and Human Development from Troy University. In addition, Michael also serves as an adjunct professor in the psychology department of a local university.

Shirley Smith, LPC
Shirley Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Alabama and Georgia. 
She is certified in Alabama and internationally as a Master’s Level Addiction Counselor, and has been certified as an addictions counselor for 20 years. She has vast experience in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment in various modalities. Shirley received her Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University and has continued her education at UAB in the field of counseling. She has worked with adults, adolescents and families in the treatment of chemical dependence and other mental health issues.
