Olasimbo Babatope, M.D., FASAM
Dr. Olasimbo Babatope received her medical degree from the University Of Ibadan College Of Medicine in Nigeria. She completed her Psychiatry Residency Training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and her Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship from Emory University also in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Babatope is Board Certified in General Psychiatry by ABPN and Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by ASAM. She was selected as one of America’s Top Psychiatrist in 2008 by Consumer’s Research Council of America.

G. Michael Gomez, M.D.
Dr. Gomez is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who is Board Certified in Psychiatry. He received his Bachelor of Science from Baylor University, attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine. He is currently assisting Alabama Psychiatric Services as a part-time physician at various office locations throughout the state.


Mark Pichler, D.O.
Dr Mark Pichler was born in Boston, Massachusetts and has been living in Alabama for the past five years. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the New England School of Osteopathic Medicine. His post-graduate training was completed at Boston University Medical Center in 1995. He is board certified in adult psychiatry.


Sam C. West, Jr., M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. West was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but grew up in Atlanta, where he attended Emory University. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1969 and then entered the Medical Scientist program, earning his Ph.D. in physical chemistry in 1974 and M.D. degree in 1975. Dr. West then completed an internship in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston followed by his residency in psychiatry at Vanderbilt University in Nashville from 1975 until 1979. He was in the private practice of psychiatry in Dothan from 1979 until he joined Alabama Psychiatric Services in July 2007. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the Alabama Psychiatric Society, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Houston County Medical Society. Dr. West served as president of the Alabama Psychiatric Society from 1999 until 2000. He has served on the Physician's Health Committee of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and was chairman of the committee from 1997 until 1998. Dr. West has previously served as Medical Director of Charter Woods Hospital in Dothan and of the Behavioral Medicine Unit at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
