Jonathan Benaknin, D.O. Dr. Jonathan Benaknin received his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, and his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Benaknin joined the team physicians at Alabama Psychiatric Services in October 2011. John R. Hubbard, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. John R. Hubbard received his M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia where he also received his Ph.D. in biochemistry. He completed his residency training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and is board certified in both psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. Dr. Hubbard has published six medical books, five books for the general public, over seventy medical/scientific manuscripts, review articles, or book chapters, and more than thirty scientific or clinical research abstracts. As a third-year resident in psychiatry, he was awarded the prestigious "Laughlin Fellowship" by the American College of Psychiatrists for ''outstanding leadership and significant achievements as a resident in psychiatry.''
Dr. Hubbard has been with Alabama Psychiatric Services since January 2000, and previously was a medical school professor at such distinguished universities as Harvard Medical School, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and the Medical College of Virginia.
